We went to the pre-launch of Shake Shack which opened the doors to its first Wales restaurant in St David’s Shopping Centre in Cardiff on 21st December – although being some of the only sorry souls still in work during the week leading up to Christmas, we didn’t feel all that lucky!
My menu choice was a no-brainer; the Stack Shack. Cheeseburger topped with a breadcrumbed, portobello mushroom (with cheese oozing out of it), lettuce, tomato and ShackSauce, all neatly stacked between a perfectly formed Martin’s potato roll. I picked out the tomato. Oh, and with a side of crinkle cut chips and some downright-dirty melted cheese sauce on the side for dipping. Everything I could want in a burger meal.
It looked a little too perfect – it actually looked like a burger you would see in an ad, for once!
My new favourite burger joint? I think so.
