Rustic Bakery’s handmade pan forte crostini – review

Pan forte crostini

Pan forte crostini

Last week, Mama Hall brought back some gifts from her trip to the West coast of America and she did good.

On a visit to Concannon Vineyard in Livermore she had these handmade pan forte crostini from Rustic Bakery and decided she just had to share the love and bring some back to Wales for me to try (always thinking of her little girl!)

And I’m glad she did. A genius hybrid between two Italian specialities. Sweet and malty, peppered with flakes of nuts and fruit with a wonderful loud crunch. Once you have one you can’t stop. I tried them with some creamy blue cheese, but it just didn’t do it justice – they are so delicious and moreish they can be eaten on their own.

I was lucky enough to try two flavours – pecan, rosemary and cranberry, and walnuts, sunflower, pumpkin and sesame seeds.

Unfortunately, they don’t ship to the UK so you will have to wait for your mum’s next trip to America to get them!

My eat of the week

  • Pecan, rosemary and cranberry pan forte crostini – £5.16
  • Walnuts, sunflower, pumpkin and sesame seeds pan forte crostini – £5.16
